Hi friends!
I'm Maddie- owner/buyer/sales for Wear Wells.
Shopping has been a hobby of mine as long as I can remember. Even if I can't buy anything- the easiest way to cheer up is at the mall. I can't help it, it's in my genes. When we were little, my grandparents would take us to North Park to slide down the planters outside of Neimans or stick our hands in the fountain outside Dillards. My girls have always loved hot summer mall-rat days at Stonebriar. (To qualify as a mall-rat day you must eat 2 meals at the food court, ride the carousel, and try on formal dresses at a department store.)
Once 2020 hit and all shopping was online I began to notice some reoccurring issues. The boutiques I was buying from were not cheap, but the quality was terrible. Plus returning was always difficult. After multiple trips to the clothes donation box, I started tossing around the idea to do it better. In April of 2022 I wanted to "just see" if opening a boutique was even possible. I prayed for road blocks if it wasn't meant to be. Every step had a learning curve, but it was fun and seamless to start the ball rolling. I'm thankful for my friends and family who encourage me and are think-partners through this new world.
I was bouncing name ideas around with some co-workers at my real job and they suggested something with my name. Wells came from my last name- Powell and maiden name- Culwell. Alliterations are my favorite so Wear Wells was born!
The vision for Wear Wells is to curate a closet with versatile, quality pieces that are affordable and unique.
